What would happen to life if I were to pack up all of my dishes except for one set? I would be forced to use and wash this set of dishes each time I wanted to eat. I could see this being problematic in that I may decide to not eat. however, I imagine that after enough self-digestion, I would be driven to bite the bullet and wash the dishes. This idea seems to be plausible for more reasons than one. Firstly, The build-up of hoarded dirty, crusty, hazardous dishes in my room would be drastically reduced. Secondly, I may end up conserving more of our non-renewable resources since the amount of warm, soapy water necessary to clean the dishes would be drastically reduced as the rings of residual milk and chunks of misplaced tomato sauce would not have a chance to adhere. Besides, I'm considering going on a minimalism kick-it is just so much more convenient, especially when faced with a perpetual threat of nuclear holocaust. (Just in case you need this: be prepared)
This also makes me think about the tasty generic sweetened wheat puff cereal that I purchased at Fred Meyer's this evening (I found my selection of groceries to be laughably diverse: cereal, sandwich meat, and Barefoot Zinfandel). I could really go for a bowl of those tasty bits of sweety crunch right about now. However, eating a bowl would necessitate another session of bothersome dental hygiene before sleep, and that activity sounds like it would be just too much. I had better go to sleep so that I may forget about my hungry tummy

Posting for posting's sake
the river of posting genius is again running a bit dry. He's an email that i just sent to one of my professors:
Hi!
How has the year been going so far? I just wanted to let you know that I am still rearin' to help out in the lab. I miss school and learning terribly, and I feel so lost! I want to write, and research, and learn like the rest of the kids at school!!! Let me know if there's anything i can do to help!
Thanks!
Shelley

Poetry
Where do the stairs climb?
Why do the fish fly?
How can a mole dig?
When will the moon die?
Who talks to their dreams?
What makes icebergs freeze?
These are the answers.

Sausage
I got some sausage out of the Trader Jo's dumpster last night. It's in my fridge. Should I even try eating it?

My new friends
In addition to my new friends from work, I recently met my new headset, Oscar. He will be living in my black tote along with my Quit coach toolkit. I hope to adorn him with the appropriate attire (it cannot be permanent), and I am willing and open to hear suggestions. I talked to a real person today!

Trendy Jackets
I went shopping downtown yesterday for clothes that I can wear to my new job that starts Monday. I tried on this oh so cute jacket that Lindsey found. Besides not being right for me at all, it got stuck on my bicepcs when I was trying to take it off--I am too strong for the jacket!!!

Top rated
I would like to point out that my top rated list over to the right is actually from the week of Feb. 20, 2005. Maybe I should start listening to music...

I found bread in the dumpsters behind The Essential Baking Company. I got three items: a loaf of Rosemary Diamante, Desem,

Oh Burrito, I mourn thy loss.
I just polished off my last frozen burrito. This event marks a turn in my experience of life as I have known it previously. The clump of bean and vegetable protein that spilled out of a crack in the tortilla and onto my brown, boat-necked shirt signifies my unwillingness to let go of the chapter of my life that has closed with such force. As long as the earthy smell remains infused in the fabric of my shirt, I will hold fast to the memory of what it was to have the convenience of a burrito coming forth all warm and tasty from the microwave in less than 2 minutes.

Relax-it's only brain-rotting, mind-sucking hypnosis!
I am going to start a new blog! This one isn't dead, although all of my readers probably are. I was sitting here, reading Joel's feeble attempt to write a dissertation, and it donned on me that I could write out the project that my university requires of me before I can graduate. It will be like I'm blogging and being productive!!!

I do not endorse the previous comment
I wouldn't want to get a $500 rebate for Abercrombie and Fitch anyway. Ugh.
Maybe I should type out my study guide for History and systems on my blog. That would sure show blog spammers. HA! Take that you nasty fiend--I will smite you with Operant Conditioning *PooF*

Tea
I'm having some orange spice tea in the commuter lounge at SPU. I like how I live a block away from campus and I can still classify as a commuter. the water is taking forever to boil! I can hear the effect that the hotplate is having on the water, and so can everyone else in the place. It's going cchskhshchkshchshhhhhccckckkchshshsh. Ok, i give up. I'm going to pour the water even if it isn't boiling.
Ow! HoT! Ok, ouch. Burning thumb. I didn't want to use the dinky mugs, so I put it in a glass that doesn't have very good insulation. ouch. Hot.

hmm, I just noticed that my profile has been viewed 666 times. How ominous. Oh well, by the time someone reads this, it will be more like 663 times. Ooo, either I am really tired, really bored, or really ...nope, just tired. Wow. Ok, so. I think maybe i'm tired. I can't believe i just took a picture of my user stats. Maybe next time i will take a picture of my homework.

So much for studying
I went to Kinnear Park the other day to study with some friends. There was a guy there that was really cool. First, he had a dog that was nice. (it was even alive and running around). When he (the dude, and consequently his dog)was leaving, i made some sort of friendly gesture, and he stopped to talk for a bit. He started telling us that there are two bald eagles nesting somewhere in the area, which was cool because my friend Kyle (who was also at the park) and I had just been discussing the several bald eagle sightings we had had in the recent past.
Anyway, I was particularly impressed when the guy said that we should beware, as bald eagles have a tendancy to swoop down on unsuspecting students. Man, that guy was cool.
